BOUND TO: the third step in Temple’s progressive core curriculum
Ideas, discussions, and technical skills, for those moving past beginner level. With Sydona. Saturday and Sunday, 11-4pm
Our intro class Rope 0 is a prerequisite to this class.
This intensive is for those confident in their foundational skills who wish to explore both the technical aspects of rope bondage and the theoretical ones. Seeking to build rope interactions that exist at the intersection of thorough communication and intentional technique, this fast-paced but detail-oriented series will facilitate a deep dive into the “why’s” of rope, personal to each participant's needs and desires within their practice.
Each class will include lectures, group discussions, harness building, and hands-on exercises for learning technical rope skills and patterns. There will not be a designated time to switch.
The goal of this course is for each tying pair to…
be well informed on safety and risk in floor rope and suspension
be able to effectively communicate needs and desires during a rope scene
understand how to build, adapt, and asses suspendable harnesses
learn how to create and move through shapes on the floor
Prerequisites:
our intro session Rope Zero, and confident knowledge of the following technical skills:
-any non-collapsible single column tie
-double column tie
-reverse tension, half hitch, munter hitch
-yuki fix/yuki knot
-hojo cuffs
Note that this should not be your second or third time tying any of the above frictions. You should feel confident creating each one without checking references. Not sure? Test yourself by tying blindfolded or under a blanket.
In order to promote continuity of learning and community trust, we’d like to have a max of 10 pairs for the weekend. Registration price is for a pair (couple, partners, buddies, D/s, whatever kind of pair…).
Each couple should bring at least six bundles of rope and a cutting tool.
Must take both days: Saturday 11-4pm, Sunday 11-4pm
RSVP
$280 for a tying pair for the weekend
