PAIN - a painless exploration

Sunday April 30th, 1-4pm PAIN - a painless exploration

“There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humour and hurt.” - Erma Bombeck

Nobody likes pain. Unless it hurts so good.
Pain is a great teacher, not a necessary one. But can we really grow without growing pains? What is pain, anyway?

Join Mrghy and friends at @think.olio for a body-based, painless exploration of pain. We will look at it from the bio-psycho-social perspective, spend time learning how it manifests in the body, and make friends with it, as much as possible. Because, as we do, pain often softens up once it feels cared for.

You will leave this workshop with some knowledge of:

- How pain manifests in the body: the anatomy of pain
- The importance of developing a sense of curiosity rather than fear for your aches and pains
- How to find freedom within painful experiences

This is mostly lecture and discussion based but we suggest comfortable clothing to be able to join in for a few simple (and safe!) somatic explorations.
While sharing personal experience is welcome and encouraged, this is not a therapeutic session for pain treatment and the information shared is not medical advice.
