Under Wraps
In this interactive class, Anya Demure & Donna With The Mouth will discuss important bottoming skills such as body awareness, communication, and vetting. They will also cover physical and emotional aspects of safety before, after, and during a scene. Anya and Donna will incorporate hands-on exercises throughout so that attendees can practice some of these skills.
This class welcomes bottoms, tops, and switches alike, because these skills are valuable for everyone. But the discussion will center the voices, perspectives, and needs of rope bottoms (people in rope / people who get tied). People of all experience levels, ranging from people curious to try being tied to experienced rope bottoms, are welcome. Attendees do not need a partner for this workshop.
Teacher Bios
Anya Demure (she/her) is a rope bondage enthusiast, teacher, and performer who is especially jazzed about beginners' education! She is keen on creating and embodying interesting physical shapes, and delights in enduring physically challenging rope experiences. For her, rope bondage is endurance, sex, exercise, community, movement, art, collaboration, and mutual experience. She is also dedicated to promoting bottom-inclusive education and presentation, and fostering safe, friendly, and encouraging learning environments. She has been fortunate to teach, tie, and be tied in various communities in the US and abroad, but calls Brooklyn home.
Donna with the Mouth (she/her) is Brooklyn-based masochist who has been active in the NYC scene since 2015. Her kinks -- from impact to rope bondage -- explore the limits of power and endurance within a framework of active communication. She also performs as a rope bottom at kink and leather festivals across the United States and Canada. As a bondage educator, Donna works to pass on her years of experience in rope to foster community, encourage exploration, and increase accessibility. Most of all, she is passionate about open communication and collaborative negotiation, recognizing the vulnerability of exploration on both sides of the slash.
