Floor Exposure

Floor Exposure

With Bänana and Soft Armor

This floor class will propose playful bondages, all with the common goal of exposing the bound person. It will leave room for creativity, so that each pair can find a way of exposing the other to create reactions. (What may be exposing/intimidating for one person may not be so for another...).

This course will provide tools and ideas for finding one's own interpretation of what exposure in the ropes can create in both partners: embarrassment, vulnerability, shame, sharing intimacy etc...

This class will also provide an opportunity to discuss the play dynamics that can be created by this kind of bondage, and the reactions and emotions generated. For a long time, the most popular shibari photos were those of people of female gender expression (whose bodies meet the beauty criteria of hetero-patriarchal society) being tied up by people of male gender expression.

For some years now, diversified representations have been put forward, and the practice is tending to become less stereotyped!

Bänana does her best to create a class where everyone, whatever their gender, expressions, and whatever the dynamics of their relationship with their partner, can feel welcome.

Level:

Riggers must at least master single column tie, double column tie, counter tension and X friction.

Communication being a central element in shibari it is always preferable to come with a partner with whom you already practice in order to allow a good experience. It's important to have already discussed the framework of your practice (desires, intentions, limits, ways of managing consent).

Material:

A minimum of 6 jute ropes (or hemp eventually), ideally 6mm in diameter and averaging 7-8 meters in lenght will be required.

Feel free to bring along any outfit(s) you feel would suit the theme !

Tickets sold as pairs, $120 per tying pair.
$40 deposit, $80 cash at the start of class

RSVP $120 per pair opening on 2/26
