Wiggle Room:
Finding space for movement within your rope practice
How to use movement to your advantage within the scope of a rope scene, through the lens of a contemporary dancer.
This is a task based workshop exploring how rope can help or hinder movement in your rope scene, informed by contemporary improvisational dance techniques. In this class, participants will discover how body handling, physical manipulation, intentional touch, and body to body contact can facilitate deeper connection and smoother scene setting within your rope practice.
While all levels of rope and dance experience are welcome, please note that there will be no explicit instruction on how to tie specific frictions or patterns. This class is meant to expand and inform your existing rope and/or movement practice.
