somatics for rope: TOUCH

Through some embodied exercises on the theme of touch, both solo and with a partner, we will investigate our felt experience in and out of rope to develop sensory options to guide us in exploration. The invitation is to experience touch as a tool towards embodiment, and embodiment as the sum of our bodily experiences, sense of agency, intention, and attunement to others. While we always leave partnering as an option, the nature of this particular workshop will make working with another body much more interesting and it’s highly recommended. No nudity or sexual touch will occur and the level of intimacy can be easily modulated: a buddy you’re comfy hugging will serve if a more intimate partner is not available!

"Somatics" is an umbrella term that describes techniques that address the body first. In this experiential workshop, Mrghy will share some principles of somatic movement and nuggets of information she has discovered in her two decades of somatic practices.

Registration for this class will open in January
