We Can Have Nice Things

What- “We Can Have Nice Things” is the first showing of William’s (@tiemetighter) kinky works of functional art including impact implements, bondage structures, semenawa devices (torment/ torture rope) and cast concrete weights.  After over 20 years as a professional designer and metalwork fabricator, William has been focusing on their old love of fine woodworking, utilizing reclaimed materials scavenged from Brooklyn dumpsters and naturally felled wood from their farm property in Upstate NY.  With a keen eye for unique and beautiful elements within the materials, William has made a series of distinct pieces that each hold their own character and form, a perfect opportunity for everyone to find their own feeling of personal connection to the objects.  We hope you will come and explore months of hard work and decades spent developing their particular aesthetic and skill for producing heirloom quality functional works of art.  Everyone is invited to come as casual or dressed up as you wish.  All implements will be available to test out before purchasing!

There will be LOTS of works for sale, please bring cash, venmo, paypal or credit cards to make payments.  Everyone who comes will be entered into a free group raffle to possibly win one of three prize items.  There will also be a $1 per ticket raffle for one larger item, all proceeds from this raffle will benefit DeCrimNY (@decrimny), a coalition of organizations dedicated to promoting the rights and safety of sex workers, massage workers, and survivors of human trafficking.
